The lovely Doolin
Doolin is a small town near the Cliff of Moher. Not very quit though, more tourists then residents. Anyway, it looks like a picture in a fairy tell. We went there because we missed the bus, and needed to kill many hours. The bar is also cute.

The end of the world
Hi, the other side of the Atlantic Ocean! I know nothing about Ireland except the pictures of the Cliff of Mohor. Fortunately, it is not too far away from Limerick, so we went. The wind was exceptionally strong that we can hardly step forward. The rubbles kept on hitting us like hundreds of tiny bullets. But it worth it.

Country road to Limerick
The conference is held in Limerick, on the other side of the island. I decided to take a 5-hour bus road trip. Ireland is not larger than Taiwan. The reason the trip took so long was because the bus seldom drove on highways. So I travelled through farms after farms, one small village after another.
I found the trip was spectacular but too short.
The small towns were filled with colorful homes (and a lot of bars, of course). Many streets were paved with stone bricks. Everything looked peaceful.
There were many larger and small medieval stone castles scattered in the fields. Ireland must have a violent past. Sorry I don’t know any Irish history at all.

On the street
There were so many people on the street. Is it a shopping season? The population is almost totally white, making me felt like walking in a white area in a US city. (is there such a place?)
Ran into a crowded street looking like a farmer's market.
A few stores selling video and phone cards. (Am I in a Chinatown?) Don’t know why all of them have to stick out their heads and hands from a small window to sell them.Ireland in sight!
After ~12 hours of flight, finally Dublin is on the horizon. My first impression of Ireland was not that great through. I sat by window so I tried no to disrupt my neighbor's sleep all the way. The first thing I want do to after landing is to peeeee... But the first thing I saw after stepping out the plane is a long line of non-Irish citizen, waiting for getting through their "passport control". There was no restroom between the gate and "passport control". It was a big 767, and I sat in the last 5th raw! The Irish customs did a good job in controlling our passports; I did my best in controlling my bladder.
